How to teach your dog to stay when asked
Say the command STAY to your dog. Then turn to the opposite side and start walking for few meters. If the dog start to follow you then grab it from the collar and take it back to the start point. Repeat this several times until the dog stop following you. Then give an eye contact to the dog and give the command COME. When the dog comes to you give affection or give to the dog a treat as a reward. Practice this several times a day.
